Some courses have an age limit for admission

For B.P.Ed, the applicant’s age must not exceed 35 years as of 31 December 2026. For teachers, the limit is relaxed up to 40 years. The college checks age and eligibility.

Special Cases You Should Know About

  • Deputed teachers (B.Ed): Teachers approved and listed by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education get priority admission. They don’t apply online. They apply directly at their assigned Government Teachers’ Training College between 19 October and 15 November 2026.
  • Foreign certificate holders (MBA in THM): If UGC has certified your 4-year degree as equivalent, you also don’t apply online. You send a written application to the Dean, Postgraduate Education, Training and Research Centre, NU, in person or by email at adm.masf@nu.ac.bd. Include your name, your parents’ names, the course, the institution and your registered mobile number, along with transcripts, the UGC equivalence copy, the original migration certificate and two attested photos.
  • Media and Journalism: You can’t apply online either. Contact the relevant institution directly within the same period. The institution runs this admission itself.
  • Graduates from other universities: If you graduated from a UGC-recognized university other than NU, you must submit your original migration certificate at the time of final admission. Without it, your registration card won’t be issued.

No Dual Admission (দ্বৈত ভর্তি নিষিদ্ধ)

Anyone currently studying in a Masters (Regular/Private), Preliminary to Master's, or Masters (Professional) program, in any session, cannot take admission. You can only join if you cancel your earlier admission first. You also have to upload a signed declaration, which says you are not enrolled elsewhere and accept that both admissions and registrations will be cancelled if you break the rule.

How to Apply Step by Step (আবেদনের নিয়ম)

  1. Go to www.nu.ac.bd/admissions and open the Masters tab.
  2. Click Apply Now (Mprof Phase-2). Enter your roll number, registration number, university name, passing year, mobile number, and email exactly as they are in your records.
  3. If your data isn’t in the system, use the Blank Data Entry Form (Mprof Phase-2). You’ll need to enter your name, parents’ names, and marks or CGPA, and upload a scanned, attested copy of your bachelor’s marksheet.
  4. Choose a college by division and district. You will see the courses offered and the number of seats, so choose your course carefully.
  5. Upload your photo and the signed declaration.
  6. Click Submit Application. Your roll number and PIN will appear. Download the form and print it on A4 white paper, or save the PDF.
  7. Submit the application form with the fee to your chosen college.

Photo Requirements size

  • Recent, colored, passport-size photo
  • Size: 120×150 pixels
  • Format: JPG
  • Maximum file size: 50 KB

Uploading anyone else’s photo, or wrong or incomplete information, means your admission and registration will be cancelled.

If you made a Mistake?

Log in through Applicant Login (Mprof Phase-2) with your roll and PIN. Use the Form Cancel/Photo Change option, and an OTP will go to your registered mobile number. You get only one chance to cancel and refill the form. Once the college confirms your application, you can’t cancel it.

Gender Errors and Quotas

If the system shows the wrong gender, use Click to Change to correct it. A male applicant who applies to a women’s college, by mistake or on purpose, will have the application cancelled.

Quotas are available for children of freedom fighters, ethnic minorities, differently-abled applicants and wards (children of NU teachers, officers and staff). You need an original certificate from the proper authority, and quota seats are counted on top of the regular seats.

Admission Fees (ভর্তি ফি সংক্রান্ত তথ্য)

The fee is BDT 1,000 per applicant. NU gets BDT 850 and the college keeps BDT 150. You pay at your college through its mobile banking system or in person.

Registration Fee by Course

These are paid after admission. Each amount below includes the sports and culture fee (100), BNCC fee (10) and Rover Scout fee (20).

Colleges deposit NU’s share through a Sonali Bank pay slip downloaded from their login. These fees are paid by the college and are separate from what you pay to the college.

Merit List Process (মেধা তালিকা পদ্ধতি)

Every college prepares its own course-wise merit list. Your position depends on the marks or CGPA percentage from your bachelor’s level exam. If two applicants have the same position, the younger applicant gets priority.

Some points about how it works:

  • Deputed teachers get B.Ed seats first. Other applicants are placed on the merit list for any seats that remain.
  • Results come out in stages: merit list, quota list and release slip merit list.
  • If your college doesn’t confirm your application online, you won’t be on any merit list.
  • Hiding or falsifying educational information, or filing multiple applications with wrong details, will cancel your applications.

Checking Your Result

  • Log in on the admission website.
  • Send an SMS: type nu<space>atpm<space>roll number and send it to 16222.
  • Ask your college.

Release Slip

If you miss the merit list, cancel your admission, or get a seat and don’t join, you can use the release slip. You may apply to three colleges for vacant seats, choosing a course for each. If your college never confirmed your first application, you can’t use the release slip.

Practical Tips Before You Apply

  1. Keep your bachelor’s roll, registration number and marksheet beside you while filling the form.
  2. Resize the photo before you start, since the 50 KB limit trips up many people.
  3. Don’t submit twice. You only get one cancellation.
  4. Ask your college how it takes fee payment, and keep the receipt.
  5. Check the college’s website and notice board for its own instructions.

NU also states that it can amend, add, remove or cancel any rule in this admission process. Watch the official site’s Prospectus/Important Notice section for updates.

The Final Words

The main thing to remember for NU Masters Professional Admission 2027 is the timeline. Apply online between 19 October and 15 November 2026, deposit your BDT 1,000 fee at your college by 16 November, and classes start on 20 December 2026. Check your eligibility for your course, fill the form carefully, and make sure your college confirms your application.
